1. Be Verbs：現在式 & 過去式

Present 現在式：
now / today / right now / at the moment

I am tired now.
She is at home today.
They are busy now.

Past 過去式：
yesterday / last night / last weekend / …… ago

I was tired yesterday.
She was at home last night.
They were in Japan last weekend.

2. Negative 否定句：Be + not

He isn't hungry now.
He wasn't hungry yesterday.
They aren't at school today.
They weren't at school yesterday.

3. Yes / No Questions 疑問句 -- 把 Be verb 放到主詞前面。

She is tired.
→ Is she tired?

They were at home.
→ Were they at home?

Short Answers

Is Amy at school?
Yes, she is. / No, she isn't.

Were they busy yesterday?
Yes, they were. / No, they weren't.

4. There + Be    👉 看 Be verb 後面的名詞！

一個 / 不可數 → is / was

There is a book on the desk.
There was some milk in the bottle.

兩個以上 → are / were

There are three books on the desk.
There were many people at the park.

現在 → is / are
過去 → was / were
